Building a Better Post-Workout Formula

Building a Better Post-Workout Formula

When Dr Jordan joined the project, he recognised something instantly. In clinic, cosmetic doctors were already improvising a solution for active patients. Many kept hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in their gym bags. It was originally designed for post-procedure use in a controlled medical setting, not post-workout recovery in a changing room. But in the absence of a product built for that purpose, it was the best option available: fast acting, anti inflammatory and gentle.

The problem was clear. Athletes needed a product that went beyond the limits of basic hypochlorous acid. They needed something that cooled redness, supported skin cell recovery, protected the microbiome and restored hydration. A true post workout skin restore, not a repurposed clinical spray.

So we tried to create what we called a hypochlorous plus formula. We combined HOCl with ingredients that supported barrier repair, microbiome balance and deeper surface hydration. Every time we tested those combinations, the same thing happened. There was no HOCl left. It is simply too unstable to mix with additional active ingredients. As soon as we introduced anything else, the hypochlorous acid broke down.

It became clear that if we wanted a product that performed at a higher level, we needed to rethink the formula entirely. Not HOCl plus, but a new combination designed from the ground up for post workout skin stress.

That led us to the ingredients you now see in Myokine Refresh. Each one selected for a specific outcome. Cellular restoration. Barrier support. Microbiome balancing. Anti redness performance that keeps the skin stable even when the body is under physical stress.

The result is a product not borrowed from the clinic, but built for the athlete. A targeted formula for immediate use after training. A science first approach to skin recovery, designed to match the lifestyle of the everyday mover and the committed competitor alike.
